Q: Do I need to schedule an appointment or can I walk in?

A: Please call us to schedule an appointment as you will need one to be seen by Scott.

 

Q: Do I need to have a prescription or a referral in order to make an appointment?

A: No, you do not need to have been referred to us by a medical professional to be seen by Scott. 

Q: How long does it take to get my orthotics?

A: We make everything in house; typically we schedule your pick up appointment for about a week and a half to two weeks after your initial exam. Ski Orthotics and Cyclesoles are start to finish products and only require one appointment. 

Q: How much do orthotics cost?

A: All of our everyday use orthotics fall between $250-400 per pair. Ski orthotics are $175-200 and Cyclesoles are $300. 

Q: When is payment due?

A: Payment is due upon pick up.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: Peterson's Orthotic Lab accepts cash, checks, HSA/FSA cards, and all major credit/debit cards with the exception of American Express. We are not able to accept Care Credit at this time.

 

Q: What is your refund policy?

A: Peterson's Orthotic Lab does not offer refunds on custom-made items. 

Q: What if my product needs to be adjusted?

A: For the first 6 months after picking up your orthotics we offer free adjustments. After the first 6 months we may charge a small fee for the visit depending on what the adjustment entails. We aren't done until your feet are happy!

Q: How long do orthotics last?

A: Orthotics typically last 2-5 years; generally your feet have changed enough about every 5 years that it is wise to be reexamined. Surgeries and injuries can also cause your feet to change.

Q: Can I use my orthotics in more than one pair of shoes?

A: Yes, you can absolutely move your orthotics from pair to pair! 

Q: What if I want another set of orthotics?

A: When you pick up your first pair you will also leave with molds of your feet. These molds will save you $50 on any additional pairs as long as we are able to use them. You do not need an appointment to drop off the molds but we will schedule you a pick up appointment for your new pair. 

Q: Can orthotics fit into any type of footwear or will I need specific shoes?

A: We make a range of orthotics and can typically accommodate most shoes that come with a removable insert. 

Q: My full length orthotics do not fit into my narrow dress shoes/boots, what should I do?

A: We do offer a 3/4 length orthotic which is easier to fit into narrow shoes.

Q: I just got my orthotics and my feet feel a little sore; is that normal?

A: It is normal to experience a little bit of discomfort while getting used to the new correction; we refer to the two weeks following your pick up appointment as your break in period. However, if you are blistering please call us at (541) 647-1108 so that we can get you back in for an adjustment. 

Q: What is the two week break in period?

A: The two week break in period refers to the two weeks following your pick up appointment. During this period we instruct our patients to slowly build up to wearing the orthotics full time; starting by wearing the orthotics one hour the first day and adding one hour each day until the period is over. We do not recommend getting adjustments during your break in period as you risk removing needed correction that you simply have not yet adapted to. The exception to this is blistering; if you are blistering please call us at (541) 647-1108 so that we can get you back in for an adjustment as soon as possible.
